If you thought yesterday was hot, it can always get worse – and it will.

Our temperature + dewpoint combo will remain steady thru Monday.
Actual air temperatures in the upper 90s, nearing 100°, with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s. This will send heat index values near 110° each afternoon.

Models think actual air temps hit the triple digits at some point(s) this weekend, I remain skeptical just with how much rain we’ve received recently – which makes it tough to hit that mark. Regardless of 99° v. 100° – it will be dangerously hot.
Throughout the week and into this weekend, please use extra caution against this heat. Take frequent breaks, stay hydrated, and keep an eye out for heat related illnesses in others, especially children and the elderly. Always look before you lock, never leave a pet or child in a car, no matter how quickly you are “just running inside.”

We get a little “relief” by the middle of next week when the highs cool down ever so slightly into the mid 90s. Football is nearing, but the weather doesn’t seem to think so.
Speaking of relief, we’ll have some low Wattery (water + lottery) chances today + Friday, in hopes of some brief relief from this disgusting heat.
Any coverage of showers/storms looks to be isolated to scattered at best, most likely during the afternoon and early evening.
No severe weather expected, but per usual, any storm could contain heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds. Localized flash flooding not impossible underneath a slow-moving storm.
As always, we’ll keep an eye on things and will send out updates as needed on all of our socials. We also have a cool radar on our website you can look at any time: Radar – Nashville Severe Weather
Wattery chances essentially go to zero for Saturday and Sunday. Being in close proximity to a body of water this weekend is highly recommended. Low-end rain chances return Monday.
