It is summer, and we typically get these fairly consistent patterns – but I admit, I’m not a big fan of it.

Regardless of if we like it or not, we have to deal with it. So, onward.

Daily rain/storm chances will continue over at least the next seven days, bouncing back and forth between “low” and “medium” chances.

Higher chances will be off to our east on the Plateau but can’t rule out a few infiltrating Middle TN as well.

The two days with the “highest” chances (although still only 40-50%) will be Friday and Saturday – how convenient. The rest of the days chances will be lower, only around 10-30%. Chances will likely be confined to the afternoon and early evening each day.

So, while chances remain on the lower side, those with outdoor plans should still have an indoor place to go wait out a passing shower/storm. No severe weather concerns, but any storm could contain lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds.

Temperatures will remain…pretty gross.

Highs in the low to mid 90s, with dewpoints in the low to mid 70s – dog days of summer type of weather. Heat index values will easily get into the low 100s. Not unusual but still deserving of taking precautions against the heat.
