Our quiet-ish pattern continues.

Today thru Thursday we’ll see similar conditions. A stray shower possible in the afternoon hours, perhaps a rumble of thunder to go along with it. Don’t think this means any rainouts, as any accumulation would be fairly light (if any at all) – so shouldn’t see any impacts to sports practices or if you are going out and playing 18. No severe weather worries.

Rain/storm chances continue as we get closer to this weekend, increasing slightly by Friday and Saturday with PoPs (probability of precipitation) closer to 30-50%.

Chances will still mostly be confined to the afternoon and early evening hours. Models don’t think this will totally rainout any of your plans, but you’ll probably want to bring some rain gear. Things very well could change, and we’ll keep an eye on things and get more into the specifics as we get closer. Good news, no flooding or severe concerns.

Temperatures remain pretty close to average for early August, with highs in the low to mid 90s. Dewpoints will be in the low 70s, sending heat index values closer to 100°. Certainly not comfortable, but also not abnormal for this time of year either. We’re getting closer to Fall, but we still have a ways to go.
