Our Heat Advisory is now in effect until Tuesday evening.

Afternoon highs in the mid 90s with dewpoints in the mid to upper 70s will send heat index values near 105°. Please take precautions against this heat, such as staying hydrated and taking frequent breaks. Know the signs of heat illness and what to do if you are someone else is experiencing any symptoms.

Models continue to perform poorly regarding any rain/storm potential, so it’s put too much weight into them. We’ll yet again be watching to our N to see if any storm clusters are able to make it all the way here, potentially sometime tonight.

FWIW, models are not too excited about these chances, thinking the storms either miss us to the E or just fizzle out before they arrive. We do have a 5% chance of damaging straight-line winds within 25 miles. but obviously this only comes into play if the storms make it here. No hail/tornado worries. It’s more of a wait-and-see situation with this unfortunately, we’ll keep an eye on things.

Low rain/storm chances Tuesday afternoon/evening. Think majority of us will stay dry but can’t rule out a quick shower or storm. Models currently keeping most of the activity off to our E, but again, don’t want to put too much stock into that right now.

Wednesday thru Friday looks a bit cooler and dry. Highs near 90°, with more tolerable dewpoints in the 60s.

Rain chances return Saturday/Sunday. No severe weather is expected at this point, but those with outdoor plans should have an indoor plan ready to go.
