Fewer Winning Wattery Tickets Today, More on Sunday

Good news, models think most of us finally get in a dry day.

While we can’t totally rule out a stray shower or storm, your outdoor plans will likely stay dry today.

On the other hand, heat index values will creep up towards 105°, so be sure to stay cool and hydrated if you do have plans to be outside for long periods of time.

Sunday will be another day of medium Wattery (water + lottery) chances, mostly in the afternoon and evening. The typical hazards of heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds all possible. We’ll also have to watch out for any localized flash flooding underneath any slow-moving or training storms.

Monday thru Wednesday will be more of the Wattery, but coverage looks to be more isolated, with chances only being around 20%.

Temperatures remain hot, with highs in the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will be in the 100-105° range through Tuesday, and we might even end up needing a Heat Advisory for Tuesday – we’ll see.

There’s rumblings of a pattern shift later next week, perhaps a stoppage of the Wattery. We shall see.
