Wattery on Replay

Another day, more Wattery chances. This week will be a continuation of our rinse (sometimes literally) and repeat pattern we’ve been in for… a while.

A guess from the HRRR model on what the radar could look like today, which won’t be exactly right, but gives a halfway decent idea. More popup showers/storms, mainly confined to the afternoon and early evening. Although last night we saw we can’t rule some precip out a little bit later as well.

Same hazards – heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds possible with any storm. Not expecting any storms to reach severe criteria.

This can be applied to every day over at least the next six. The days with the greatest chances look to be Friday and Saturday (of course), so heads up for those with any outdoor plans.

No one day looks like a total washout. Storm motions look to be fairly quick, so if you do get caught under a storm, it should roll through and on with your day.

Temps + dewpoints slowly continue to increase, making it feel more gross outside. Heat index values will reach near 100° most days (unless you get a shower or storm). Wake up temperatures will be about the only time it is somewhat comfortable outside, in the low to mid 70s, but even then, it’ll still be muggy.

      Wattery [watt-ter-E]
      (noun, invented word)
an expression of summertime rain/storm chances analogous to a *lottery with winners & losers known only at the time of drawing, “winners” experience *water, often with *watts in the lightning, many times making those involved say *WAT?
