Hot But Mostly Dry for 250

Temperatures will still be hot today. Although it’s not an Extreme Heat Warning, we do have a Heat Advisory in effect until 8p. Actual air temperatures will be in the mid 90s, with heat index values near 105°. However you are celebrating America’s 250th, be sure to stay cool today.

Models suggest storm coverage will be much lower than yesterday, with only a few isolated storms this afternoon. Any storm would likely be brief, but lightning will be a possibility – so remain vigilant if you are out on the water/pool today.

Any storms will die down around dinnertime, leaving firework festivities dry. None of Mother Nature’s fireworks.

Storm coverage will be a little more widespread Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons. No severe weather is expected, just the typical Wattery. Although any storm could contain lightning, heavy rain and gusty winds.

Temperatures mellow out a bit, closer to average for this time of year in the low 90s.
