Daily Rain/Storm Chances Thru Wednesday

Summary:

  • Every day thru at least Wednesday has medium to high rain chances, although this doesn’t mean you’ll get rain everyday
  • Chances will generally be highest during the afternoon/early evening
  • Storms should stay below severe limits, 2-3″ of rain will be possible over the next week

Scattered showers are already ongoing (as of 11a) and will continue to do so thru this evening. The coverage of these showers/storms looks to be less than yesterday, so there is certainly hope for any outdoor events this PM, including any graduations. It’ll be close though.

The HRRR gives guidance, but not to be used as gospel:

Friday will be different in the sense that rain chances will be around essentially all day. Although it won’t rain all day, there will definitely be some breaks.

There still is model support for most of the rain chances on Saturday being confined to the first half of the day, tapering off by the afternoon. Giving a glimmer of hope for any outdoor evening plans, including the concert at Nissan. This could certainly change, but fingers are crossed.

The forecast stays on repeat from Sunday thru Wednesday, with daily rain/storm chances – mainly confined to the afternoon/evening. Almost an early taste of our summer Wattery pattern.

By the time the dust settles, 2-3″ of rain can be expected. Spread out enough to avoid most flooding issues, while helping us cut down on our 9.17″ YTD rainfall deficit.

Temperatures stay mild and consistent.
