Some scattered showers have already started to move through the area and will continue to do so thru this evening.
The HRRR model paints a picture, although it might not be the picture:

Lightning will certainly be possible with any of these storms, along with some strong winds in one or two storms. When thunder roars, go indoors.
The theme of scattered showers/storms in the afternoon and evening will roll on over into Thursday, although they might start as early as the morning hours – the HRRR gives another educated guess:

Rain/storm chances go absolutely nowhere, continuing daily thru at least Tuesday, including all of Memorial Day weekend.
Timing becomes iffy starting Friday, but chances likely peak sometime from midday thru the evening.
Saturday, the highest rain chances could perhaps be confined to the first half of the day, beginning to taper off during the afternoon.
Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday all look like mainly afternoon/evening ordeals.
Of course, this could all change. As the days go on and the high-res models get into range, confidence will continue to increase. The good news is that no severe weather is expected, outside of lightning. The common theme will be to have an indoor backup plan for any of your outdoor activities.
More good news, we need rain – and we’ll get some. 2-3″ is expected today thru Tuesday. Should be spread out enough to avoid any flooding.
