Thunderstorms, Isolated Flooding Possible Daily This Week

Thunderstorms from earlier have worked over our atmosphere pretty well. A few lingering showers will be possible throughout the evening but think any additional storms today are unlikely today.

Most of this week looks to be a rinse (literally) and repeat.

Medium to high chances for a shower or storm will exist daily throughout the entire week, and yes, including this weekend.

Chances will mostly be confined from late morning thru the early evening. Our main threat will be the possibility of isolated flooding with any slow-moving storms, or storms that train over the same area (like we saw today in Davidson Co).

No severe weather is expected. But with any summertime storm, heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds are possible. When thunder roars – go indoors.

You probably won’t see rain everyday – but with the Wattery, you just never know. We’ll be watching and sending out updates as needed each day.

Outside of any showers or storms, we’ll be heating up during the day.

High temps will generally reach the low 90s, with heat index values nearing 100°. We should stay below the criteria for a Heat Advisory (heat index values of 105°+) but regardless, it’ll still be hot. Take it easy if you must be outdoors for long periods of time.
