Lots of Questions Surrounding Easter Weekend Weather

Now thru Friday, we j chillin.

We could see a few light showers Thursday, but those look to be few and far between.

Temps slowly increasing throughout the week, getting to borderline hot by Friday and staying there for the weekend.

Yesterday in the blog I said that Easter weekend looks “Halfway Decent (For Now)” – weather changes, and it has changed.

However, there are still a lot of question marks surrounding the weekend. Prepare to embrace the uncertainty.

The Storm Prediction Center has outlooked areas essentially along and N of I-40 with a 15% probability of severe weather within 25 miles for Saturday.

There is still a lot of uncertainty with this. It all depends on how far south the front can get.

Try not to pay too much attention to exactly where the lines are drawn – it’ll likely change over the next few days. FWIW, we are not included in any severe probabilities on Sunday – those are to our west right now.

The GFS and EURO both show very little to no rain during the day Saturday. This would eliminate any chance for severe weather – but this could change.

In fact, both models think majority of the rain holds off until Sunday PM.

This is something that will have to be watched.

For now, I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor plans for this weekend just yet. Keep an eye on the forecast and stay tuned for any changes! The good news is that right now, nothing looks like a complete washout.
