1 - 1.5 Inches of Rain Expected Thursday thru Friday AM

Rain is expected to move into the area Thursday morning, some break during parts of the afternoon and evening, then more soaking rain overnight Thursday into early Friday AM. Not expecting any thunderstorms, just rain. Rainfall totals low enough to keep our flooding threat very low, although some low-lying areas could see some ponding.

Wind gusts as high as 20 – 30 mph will be possible Thursday afternoon – Thursday night thanks to the low-pressure system passing by.

HRRR model gives a guess on how the radar might look:

Most of the rain should be gone by your Friday morning commute.

We’ll be left with a dry rest of the weekend.

High temps at the start of next week will be 15-20 degrees above average. Quite the warm start to February.

Next rain chances won’t be until maybe middle of next week.

The mid to upper 60s will feel like pool weather compared to what we dealt with a couple of weeks ago.

This has signs of ‘False Spring’ all over it.
