A (Brief) Break From the Cold, Rainy Sunday Night & Tuesday

For the first night in a while, we won’t get below freezing. Still chilly though with lows getting into the mid 30s.

Still expecting two rounds of rain, starting on Sunday.

Round One – Sunday Evening thru Monday Morning

HRRR model gives its best shot below:

– Still think Titans game will be mostly dry, maybe a stray shower towards the end of the game.

– Bulk of the rain arrives after sunset continuing thru the earlyyyy morning hours of Monday

– Maybe a few leftover showers for your Monday morning commute

Round Two – Tuesday (mostly in the AM)

The latest Euro model shows:

– Showers arriving in the wee hours of Tuesday morning

– On/off showers continuing thru around lunchtime Tuesday, pretty much gone by the afternoon

Rainfall totals from both days prob end up in the 1 – 1.5″ range – helping out our drought.

Warm temps depart on Wednesday, coming back down to around average for this time of year for the rest of the week.

“Zonal flow sets up for the rest of the week with surface high pressure developing. This will keep the forecast dry.” – NWS Nashville

Shoutout zonal flow.
