Temperatures will likely bottom out in the 14° – 17° range overnight into the early morning hours of Friday. Bundle up for the bus stop, AM commute – frostbite can set in quickly.
Highs on Friday not too kind either, only getting into the mid 30s.
Temps slightly milder this weekend into early next week, before another cool down mid next week.
Rain chances return Sunday, continuing into early next week. Here are some snippets from NWS Nashville…
* “Widespread soaking rain is expected Sunday night into Monday morning.”
(Unclear if Titans game will be rainy, have fav rain jacket/poncho on standby)
* “Rainfall totals Sunday PM to Monday AM are expected to be a little over 1 inch.”
Then…
* “After the Sunday night / Monday morning system passes, there will be another wave right on its heels with additional rain chances Monday night through Tuesday.”
(Could hear a rumble of thunder or two, but no severe weather expected atm)
* “Additional rainfall amounts of one quarter to one half inch will be common.”
And last but not least…
* “By Wednesday, a cold front will sweep through the area possibly changing rain over to a brief wintry mix before coming to an end. The front will be moving along, so no wintry accumulations are in the forecast at this time.”
(These cold air chasing limited moisture setups almost never end well for snow lovers, getting hopes up not advised)
Changes and revisions possible, stay connected for updates!
At minimum, we’ll get some beneficial rainfall from this to help out with our drought.
