Same Old, Same Old + Drought Update

To start out, the new drought monitor came out today. The “update” is that there are no changes.

For our two counties, no changes have been made since last week. Most of us in the Abnormally Dry category, with some folks in extreme southern WillCo. in a Moderate Drought.

The Wattery has been kind to others, and not so kind to others. Some have received less than an inch this month, others have seen 5″+ of rain, varying from town to town.

If you haven’t seen much rain, don’t fret. The next 7 days all include rain chances.

Similar to the past several days, we’ll be dealing with Wattery chances most days – most likely in the afternoon + evening.

HRRR model (above) shows some winners for the Wattery this afternoon and evening. Lightning + heavy rain possible in some storms, if thunder roars go indoors.

Each day thru the middle of next week will consist of Wattery chances. You could win!

  • lower rain chances Friday + Saturday
  • higher rain chances Sunday + Monday
  • no severe weather expected
  • localized flooding possible in slow-moving heavy rain – especially Sunday

We’ll begin to slowly heat back up into the 90s by early next week – it’s been a good run.
