Moist Airmass Goin’ Nowhere

Sorry to sound like the forecast is stuck on repeat but hit or miss (mostly miss) rain chances continue to be the focus of the forecast.

A few folks may see a shower/non-severe storms over the next couple of hours this evening, but activity should be winding down as we head towards sunset.

You guessed it, more spotty rain chances tomorrow.

The 18z run of the HRRR (above) demonstrates our isolated rain chances tmrw, with the main timeframe being afternoon thru the evening. No severe weather expected, but some localized flooding could be possible with any heavy downpours.

Friday thru mid next-week the forecast will basically be a rinse and repeat.

  • slightly lower rain chances Friday + Saturday, although chances still do exist
  • most rain/storm chances will be in the afternoons and evenings
  • impossible to know exactly where/when showers may arrive, if at all
  • no severe weather currently in the forecast
  • some localized flooding is possible with some of the heavier downpours, but no widespread flooding issues expected

Our weekly drought monitor comes out tomorrow, some areas have seen improvement, others not-so-much.

High temps do slowly begin to creep back up. We’ll be back in the low 90s come early next week.
