A storm complex will make a run at us overnight tonight, kicking off an off/on rainy Sunday.
HRRR thinks the first round of rain gets here around 3:00 am. Could have some thunder/lightning with it. Doggies prepare. The window closes on rain chances about 7:00 pm. Time stamps top left.

We don’t think everyone will see rain all day. We think there will be dry periods with occasional showers/thunderstorms. Just have a rain plan in place if you’re gonna be outside.
Lightning will be a thing in and near the stronger cells. There’s also a low, but non-zero chance of storms turning severe with damaging winds and large hail the primary severe threats. There’s a 5% chance of this happening within 25 miles of you.

Action Items:
- CMA FEST: Take rain gear. Likely won’t need it all day. But, when you need it, you’ll really need it. Be prepared to shelter from lightning.
- Severe risk is low, but not zero. If you have outdoor plans, be ready to go inside if storms get out of hand.

Beyond Sunday, we dry out and have comfortable temps to start the week…but get hot/humid by the end of the week with more typical summer weather and isolated pop up storms. More on that later.
