‘Tis The Season of Pop-Ups, A Peek At CMA Forecast

It’s that time of the year to start playing the Wattery. All will enter, few will win.

HRRR model suggests storms with lightning start popping up around 4 or 5 pm today, with activity slowing down after sunset. Not everyone will see rain, but those that do may have to temporarily relocate indoors and wait for the lightning to pass.


Rain chances, along with humidity increase as we get into the middle part of the week.

The HRRR model thinks we’ll wake up to rain/storm chances on Tuesday, ending by the afternoon hours. Models are helpful, but not always correct. This model could be off, but if you have outdoor plans, good idea to keep an eye on the radar.


Wednesday afternoon and evening will bring the greatest thunderstorm chances for this forecast period and the greatest risk for a couple of severe storms.” – NWS Nashville

Although we aren’t currently outlooked for any severe weather chances by the Storm Prediction Center, a couple of strong storms will be possible. Deets still fuzzy, but worth keeping an eye on.


Thankfully, rain chances start to decrease starting Thursday and stay low throughout the weekend.
