Cutting Footloose and Good News for Horses

None of the models picked up on the chance of rain this morning. Nevertheless, some of us are getting rain. A great reminder that models are farrrr away from perfect.

HRRR model shows additional showers/storms popping up around lunch and continuing through the afternoon. No severe weather is expected, but lightning, gusty winds and small hail are possible.

If, and that’s a big if, the HRRR model holds, it looks like all attendees should be able to stay out of the Danger Zone, and everybody should be able to cut Footloose.

Friday morning rain chances continue to hold.

HRRR model shows on/off morning rain lasting through around noon. Not the greatest news for Vandy’s graduation. Good news is that afternoon/evening plans look dry. Can’t totally rule out a shower tho.

There are some encouraging signs for Steeplechase and other outdoor plans for Saturday. HRRR model isn’t in range for that yet, so will have to circle back to see that. NAM3k model thinks we are dry. Euro thinks we see a few spotty showers. GFS thinks we stay mainly dry. Will these dry trends continue?

Rain chances stick around Sunday and Monday. Neither of the days look like rainouts. Middle of next week looks drier and a few degrees cooler.
