Spring officially begins at 4:24pm and it will feel like anything but spring today. BNA got down to 16° last night. Are we sure it’s supposed to be spring?
Tonight we’ll freeze again, but not so bad, official low is “only” 31°, although rural places will probably get into the upper 20’s. Last night below freezing for at least the next week. By no means am I calling it the last freeze of the season. Too early to call that. We can reevaluate…later.
For the remainder of the week, it’ll actually feel like spring. But it does come with some rain/storm chances.
On/off rain should begin Tuesday evening and last thru Wednesday around lunchtime. No lightning, severe weather, flooding expected with this.
Most of our area is still outlooked for Friday with a 15% chance of severe weather within 25 miles. Details are still fuzzy. The threat looks very conditional, and a lot still has to be ironed out. Regardless of the severity, rainfall totals of 1-2 inches are possible, so maybe look at an isolated flash flooding threat. As always, we’re watching it and will keep you updated as details roll in.
