Meh Rain Chances For The Weekend, Drought Update + First Freeze?

It’s been a while since we’ve had rain chances so close to each other, but don’t get your hopes up, this next chance doesn’t look to be much.

🌧️The Euro model above shows rain chances Saturday thru Sunday.

  • Best chance of rain looks to be Saturday afternoon – Sunday evening, but mainly Sunday.
  • Still a few days out, so things will likely change
  • Maybe a few rumbles of thunder and some gusty winds, but no widespread severe weather expected.
  • Won’t be much rain, maybe 0.5″ at best, most less than that, some maybe none.

Soak it all up while you can, models hinting at a dry week after this.

Temps fairly normal for the remainder of the week and the weekend, until the front pushes through and temps drop. Tuesday and Wednesday morning look frigid, with lows near/below 32°. Keep Chapstick nearby as dewpoints remain in the 30’s + 40’s.

All of Davidson Co. and the majority of WillCo. are now in a moderate drought. This doesn’t include the 0.25″ – 1″ of rain some of us got yesterday, but it wouldn’t have done much anyway, especially considering the upcoming forecast (besides this weekend) looks dry.
