The browns are in town.

Aerating and seeding? The only water you’ll get will have to come out of your hose.

Need to burn a pile? Not a good idea. If you must, avoid the afternoons, when relative humidity is lowest and winds are strongest.

Like green things? Find crayons, because the landscape is browning.

Drought is spreading.

  • “Thursday’s drought monitor showed a 4X jump 👇🏽 in abnormally dry areas across the state.” NWS-Nashville. That’s when compared with last week.
  • It’s not that bad, yet, drought was way worse in June.
  • 📌 But “[drought] will only get worse [over the next 10 days] as 240-hour forecasts from the Euro and GFS models remain dry in Middle TN. We could be well into the middle of the month before drops start to fall again.” NWS-Nashville.

Euro ensemble model 👇🏽 shows very little/no rain through October 17. The mean is 0.2″ total for the next two weeks, and we may get nothing.

Big cold front Thursday night. Outlier, low lying areas may approach 39° Saturday and Sunday mornings.
