The Heat, Summarized.

No relief this weekend. Heat Advisory today from 11am – 7pm. We’ll probably be reissued one for tomorrow, per NWS Nashville. High temp will get very close to 100°, and the dewpoint close to 70°, giving us a heat index of 105°-109°. No hope for any rain to cool us off. Tomorrow is more of the same story, except maybe some showers around sunset. A/C will be vital.

Monday has the first chance of some real rain. Looks like some showers/storms may cool us off in the afternoon. Not worried about any severe weather. Also a little bit of a “cool” off during the week as temps go from upper 90’s to low 90’s, as Wattery chances return daily. We’ll take what we can get.

The 90° streak shouldn’t last too long as Friday seems to fail to reach the mark. Good news is Friday seems to be the beginning of a cooler stretch as we head into August.

Personally, I’ll be rooting for the below 90° streak.
