Rain Today, Clear Weekend

We have good news and bad news. The good news is, a cold front is coming through, so there will be lower temps and sunny skies. The bad news is we have to get through some rain before those cooler temps and sunshine arrive.

By the time you’re reading this, you may have had some rain today. Rain and t’storms will be scattered throughout the morning and afternoon, and the HRRR shows the meat of the system coming through around 4-6 p.m. The storms will remain scattered through the overnight.

Instability and some shear are present with this system, so some strong storms are possible. Heavy rain and localized flooding are concerns. We’re expecting to see between 1 to 3″ of rain, but your neighborhood could see more depending on if the scattered storms decide to scatter on you.

Friday & The Weekend

The front will move through Friday, clearing out the rain. Some pop up showers are possible in the afternoon, but this is not likely. Once the front passes, we will have a clear weekend with lower than average temps and dew points. Perfect backyard barbecue weather 🙂
