Overnight rain has already affected some outdoor sporting events today:
The HRRR shows a large portion of the rain moving out around 3 pm. Showers will still linger into the evening hours, but our area should be clear before 9 pm.
Around an inch of rain is expected to have fallen by the time the system heads out tonight.
Drying Out
Clouds will begin to move out Sunday, giving way to sunny skies.
The forecast looks similar for Monday and Tuesday: sunny skies and wamer temps.
Looking Ahead
Our next rainmaker looks to come sometime between Wednesday and Friday, but the models aren’t agreeing on intensity or timing.
Poor model agreement on the timing of this next system continues. The 00z GFSS has maintained a system worth watching, but this latest Euro has a much different evolution and one that would be less potent.
NWS Area Forecast Discussion
This will be something to watch in the coming days.
