Cold Front Moving Through Today, Still a Chance of Frost Saturday

A cold front will go through the area during the the afternoon and early evening hours.

Clouds are beginning to move in this morning.

Highs today will reach around 75° ahead of the front.

We should be dry throughout the afternoon. Our greatest chance of seeing some showers comes after 8 pm and they should be exiting the region by 3 am Friday.

This does not look to be a washout. Only a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

13°

That’s the difference in high temperatures between today and tomorrow.

The rain will push through the area before sunrise, giving way to sunny and cooler conditions.

Highs will reach near 62° for Friday.

For those Friday Night Lights, it’s still looking like you may want to grab a blanket or jacket on your way out the door.

At kickoff (7 pm), temps look to be in the low 50s. By the end of the game (10 pm), temps could be in the mid to upper 40s.

Frost Possible Saturday

You may want to turn that heat on Friday night.

Temps will drop into the lower 40s and upper 30s early Saturday morning. By 7 am, temps are projected to be near 39°.

This gives us a chance of seeing some frost.

On average, our “first frost” of the season comes around October 28th.

Once we get past a chilly morning, the afternoon looks great! Highs will be in the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine!

Looking Ahead

Temps will begin to warm up into the lower to mid 70s to start next week.

Our next rain maker will come on Monday and Tuesday. This doesn’t look to be a washout event. Around a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible both days.
