Few Showers Leftover This Evening; Rainy Weekend Ahead

Thursday Night and Friday

Mild and humid with isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm. Areas of fog overnight. Severe weather is not anticipated.

The latest HRRR thinks there won’t be much from this evening through tomorrow afternoon:

Friday Night through Sunday

A wet weekend is on tap with the heaviest rain expected Saturday into Mothers Day. Models are starting to get a better handle on ETAs  with the first round moving through late Friday night continuing through Saturday. Severe weather is not expected, although heavy rain may be an issue. The NWS says this:

The expected weather pattern from tonight through Sunday doesn’t portend much for severe storms; instead, heavy rainfall appears to be the primary concern for Middle Tennessee.

Here is the NAM3 model showing the showers arriving late Friday night. There is still uncertainty on ETAs so be sure to check for updates.

Temperatures will hover around average for this time of year with lows around 60° and highs in the low 70s.
