Off & On Rain Today, Looking at Heavy Rain Wed-Fri

Rainy Saturday, Yet Again

It’s cloudy!

Overcast skies are currently widespread and will be hanging out all day, so don’t expect for the sun to break through.

Rain showers will be on and off throughout today and tonight.

The HRRR model shows the rain turning off and on throughout the day.

Totals should be light. Today is not a washout. Most of the rain is going north and east of us. Plan for these showers if going out.

As far as temperature goes, It’ll feel mild out there (mid 60°s), but with high relative humidity it’s going to feel sticky.

Winds will be relatively calm throughout the day.

Tonight, as a low swings through, we may see some of the rain turn into a few, brief thunderstorms. Nothing severe, but lightning is lightning.

There is no real threat of severe weather, but don’t be surprised if you hear a rumble of thunder. Remain weather aware.

Rest of the Weekend

On Sunday cloud cover over our area will alternate between partly cloudy and overcast, making it a day to stay inside. Even though there will be mostly heavy cloud cover, the chance of rain for Sunday is very low.

The next chance of rain is Monday, which we are keeping an eye on and will keep you updated as it comes closer.

Heavy Rain Wed-Fri

Heavy rain is expected to start mid week and run through Friday. River rises and flash flooding potential exists.

Totals look like 2″ to 3″.
