Warm Up Arrives For Thu-Fri, Rain and Cooler This Weekend

Clouds Clearing, Sunshine Warms Us Into the Weekend

Today was the last day under the influence of a northerly wind, so by tomorrow, a southerly wind component is expected to return.

Thursday and Friday will both be beautiful days, each better than the next. Highs Thursday will hover in the mid to upper 50s, but soar into the 60s on Friday.

Warm Temperatures Are Not “Without Consequence” (NWS Nashville) – Rain Saturday

Increasing cloud cover Friday will lead us into a partly-mostly cloudy Saturday. Rain is anticipated to begin during the afternoon/evening hours, continuing intermittently through early Sunday. NWS Nashville has mentioned there should a) not be much/if any instability to work with and b) no concerns of wintry precipitation, as it will be warm enough for all liquid rain.

Most models are in agreement that rain shuts down by midday Sunday, except the NAM which is much slower and drier. The Weather Prediction Center is suggesting a good 0.75″+ soaking rainfall through Sunday:

WPC Total Precipitation Forecast through Sunday

While we do dry out Sunday, cloud cover, rain-cooled air, and a northwest wind will keep temperatures relatively cool Sunday afternoon. Our weather pattern remains relatively uneventful until later next week, with the arrival of another cold front and some rain.
