Last Bit of Today Will Still be Pretty Great
Things really can’t get any better than they have been today for August. Temps will stay relatively cool even into the evening hours tonight.

Multiple Rounds of Rain for the Upcoming Week
To begin, models are still having a tough time agreeing when we will see showers for the most part. However, this upcoming week does appear to be more wet than the past few weeks.
GFS Loop Through 1 PM Tomorrow Through 7 AM Next Saturday
Our first round of showers looks to move through sometime Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. We could see a few thunderstorms in the mix, however, the strong ones should stay to the west of I-65.
The second round of showers appears to move through during the daytime on Monday.
Tuesday into early Wednesday we may catch an early daytime break from the showers, however, due to our atmosphere retaining so much moisture, we still could see some showers even then.
Here is what our local NWS had to say about next week:
Overall, by the end of the day Friday, we`re looking at 1 to 3 inches of total precip, with higher amounts possible should convection be a bit stronger over some areas. This will likely change over the coming forecasts, but no matter how we slice it, a wet forecast is in store for the mid state through next weekend.
Basically next week, while still relatively cooler with highs in the 80s, also appears to be pretty muggy and wet.
