More afternoon “popcorn” storms are possible on Tuesday as the very weak cold front sitting to our north today sags southward. Severe weather is not expected.

Temperatures each day through Friday, thanks to abundant sunshine, should reach the lower 90s, too.

Thursday will bring “afternoon-style” thunderstorm activity, while Friday’s storms develop because of a decently strong cold front (considering it’s mid-summer) moving in from the northwest. NWS Nashville outlined the end-of-the-week situation very well this morning:
