Next Rain Chance – Friday PM

Dew points/moisture will increase through the day on Friday, along with high temperatures in the low 60s. By Friday afternoon, showers will be on the increase, with a chance for isolated thunderstorms by evening. No severe weather is expected.

The NAM3 model has off and on rain Friday, probably ending in time for a nice Saturday:

The GFS model generally agrees.

By noontime Saturday, most of the rain should be well south of our area. Weekend plans look good, albeit a little chilly, both Saturday and Sunday, where afternoon temps will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Warmer Weather In the Extended Forecast, Unsettled Too

A much more seasonable pattern will return for the next work week. Series of rain chances are expected for the last “9 0r so” days of March. The first will swing through on Tuesday, but this is nothing of concern. System 2, Thursday night into Friday, brings more of a severe weather concern with the approach of a cold front…more on this as we get closer.
