Return of the Rain/Storms

A very slight chance for showers exists late Saturday and into Sunday AM. I have my doubts about this, and so do models like the GFS, which don’t show any rain during this period.

Umbrella alert: However, Monday through Wednesday (especially Tuesday, when high temps approach 70°), rain and a few thunderstorms appear likely as a decent surge of energy moves across the area.

Update: GFS Loop Monday AM – Wednesday AM

1-2″ appears to be an educated forecast between now and the middle of next week. Anything higher than those totals will he based on individual storms producing heavier rainfall rates.

Beyond the rain, cooler temperatures (more normal for this time of year) will make a push into Middle Tennessee for next weekend.
