First and foremost, Veterans Day is a time to reflect and give thanks to our United States Military, at home and abroad, who have served this country and protected our sacred freedoms. Thank you for your sacrifice.
Tonight: Clear, Cold Again – 9 PM 50°
Opting to bundle up tonight, if you’re headed out, would be a wise choice. Temperatures will already be in the 50s by the evening commute and a slight northerly breeze may kick up a mini-wind chill.
The heated blanket would work well tonight, too!
This Weekend: Extra Chilly, But Normal For November
The crap-app forecast pretty much takes care of the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are both days where we’re stuck in the 60s for highs. If you have tickets to the Packers v. Titans game on Sunday, you may want a jacket…at least for an pre-game festivities.
Saturday night will also be one of the coldest nights of the season so far. Frost is definitely possible Sat. night – Sun. morning, and we will get very close to a hard freeze. Make sure to cover any lasting vegetation you have outside prior to Saturday night.
Extended Period: Slow Warming Trend, Some Showers, and A Hopeful Rain Event
Monday night into Tuesday AM, a weak disturbance will roll through the area bringing a small chance of showers. Not everyone gets rain, but it is a possibility for some spots to see a few hundredths of an inch. Very little, if any at all.
A warming trend will continue through the week, and some areas could approach the 70s by week’s end.
Then we cross our fingers for a more potent cold front that could bring the chance of some much needed rainfall. The drought monitor below could not be more indicative of our lack of precipitation. This system would enter the picture by early next weekend, but time will tell if computer models hold this idea together.
