Tonight: Any Remaining Storms Dissipate, Humid – 9PM 83°
The heat advisory continues through 8PM tonight. Afternoon storms will continue into the evening, until the sun sets. That’s when the valve shuts off and we dry out. Temperatures will “cool” into the 80s, but with ample humidity, it will still feel a bit uncomfortable outside.
Sunday: Repeat of Saturday – Wake Up 74° High 94°
As previously stated, we can expect storm development again Sunday afternoon with ample instability around. Temperatures will soar into the lower 90s with heat indices near 100°.
Recent convective models depict this scenario pretty well:
4KM NAM at 7PM Sunday
So have your umbrella handy, but don’t expect a washout. Just keep an eye to the sky for nearby storms developing.
Extended Outlook: Increasing Storm Chances
Storm chances will continue to go up this week.
This is good news because rain will cool us down during the afternoons.
