Tonight: Still Pretty Hot, Clear Skies
Expecting for mostly clear skies through the overnight hours. Still have a small chance of some pop-up showers developing, but since they haven’t so far, our chances have diminished. Stick with us on Twitter @NashSevereWx for the most up to date information. We will let you know if we see any rain/storms developing.
Temps will stay fairly hot through the night. Temps only expected to drop into the upper-to-mid 80s by 9 PM.
Friday: Sunny. Hot. Humid. Ugh. – Wake Up 75° High 97°
As of 2:36 PM on Thursday, we have been included in a Heat Advisory.
Here are just a few words to describe what Friday is gonna be like.
Heat Index values expected to be in the 100° to 105° area again. Brace yourselves for even more heat.
Once again we do have a slight chance of some afternoon shower relief….we will see.
Extended Outlook: HOT and Humid, May Get Some Rain Relief in the Afternoons
Extreme heat will continue on as we head into the weekend. Temps expected to max out in the mid to upper 90s with our dew points temps in the low to mid 70s.
Pack the scuba gear for the weekend.
The NWS currently has a Special Weather Statement out of all of Middle TN that includes the following about this weekend:
A heat advisory is in effect from Friday at 11 AM through Saturday at 8 PM for Davidson and Williamson Counties. Take care of yourselves this weekend. Limit outdoor activities when you can, stay in the shade if you can, and be sure to drink plenty of water.
Next week, temps begin to back off but our dew points will stay in the 70s. Unfortunately there does not seem to be anytime in sight where the humidity backs off. We could see more rainfall next week though, which in theory should help us cool off a bit.
