Tonight: Hammock Weather – 9PM 70°
A frontal boundary will continue pushing through tonight, ushering in cooler and less humid air, which will be noticeable on Wednesday.
Wednesday: Drier and Cooler Air – Wake Up 56° High 80°
No oppressive heat or humidity to discuss here. After Tuesday’s frontal passage, a cooler and lower dew point airmass will have moved in. Temperatures may barely reach the 80s, making Wednesday a perfect day to get outdoors.
Thursday: Warmer, Back to Normal – Wake Up 56° High 85°
The CMA Fest officially kicks off on Thursday with names like Jake Owen and Scotty McCreery on the Riverfront Stage. If you’re headed out during the day to see them or the many other great artists, the weather will cooperate nicely.
Temperatures back into the 80s will return us to seasonal values, and low humidity will once again keep us away from any oppressive heat. Make sure to wear some sunscreen, though, as the sun will be out in full force.
Extended Outlook – You’ll Need Water, A/C, and Sunscreen:
With all of the outdoor festivities this week and weekend, temperatures will be soaring into the 90s by Friday and Saturday. A slow increase in humidity will also add to those hot temps.
Heat fatalities has the highest overall average for all weather-related fatalities, making it extremely important to take steps to avoid heat exhaustion. NWS Nashville says:
Be aware of your own condition and absolutely try to take breaks out of the sun. It’s going to be hot, no doubt about it. Hydration, sunscreen, and time spent in the shade will allow for lots of “fun in the sun”.
