Now that our little bit of winter precip is over, it is all rain for here on out!
For the rest of your Monday: We have rain, and lots of it. Some of the rain will be heavy, but the good news is it will start to wind down by this evening. We don’t expect flooding to become a big issue, but some localized problems are possible. The highs today will only be in the low-mid 40°s with a wind chill getting down into the 30°s.
Bottom line: layer up and break out the rain gear if you have to be outside! Fortunately overnight lows will remain just above freezing preventing any ice issues on the wet roads.
Low Temp tonight: 35°, showers tapering off
HRRR Total Precip by this evening: An additional 1-2 inches of rain is possible.
Tuesday: Temperatures throughout the week will have an upward trend but Tuesday will still be chilly enough for a jacket as highs top out near 47°. After a break in the rain tonight there is the possibility of some showers during the day Tuesday. This batch won’t quite be as heavy as what we are seeing today. All rain should end by Tuesday night and temperatures will again be right around 34° so no ice issues are expected.
Wednesday: Once this storm is off to the east of Middle Tennessee we will actually see some sunshine on Wednesday! It will still be chilly with highs near 47° but a big warm up is coming towards the end of the week. Warm weather lovers, get ready!
