Today – Clearing this Afternoon. High: 44°
A low stratus deck continues to stay over our area this morning, but don’t worry! We will begin to clear out after lunchtime as an upper level low accelerates to the east then subsidence occurs in our area.
If you plan on doing any Holiday shopping or going to see the Star Wars Movie today, make sure to take a jacket! Temperatures are much cooler today with highs only reaching the low to mid 40s around the region.
Once the evening arrives temperatures will tumble rapidly into the upper 30s by 5:00 PM.
Saturday – Plenty of Sunshine! Waking Up: 28° High: 52°
We will be warming up today under a sunny sky. High moves over our area and influences our winds with its clockwise flow. Winds will shift from out of the north to out of the south at 5 to 10 mph on Saturday.
Sunday – Waking Up: 32° High: 59°
Rain chances will increase Sunday evening as high pressure moves to the east. A surface low will be moving in from the west while tracking northeast.
Dew points will stay below 40° so overall humidity continues to stay pretty low. The reason I mention humidity – severe weather will not happen on Sunday. Clouds will begin to increase by noon on Sunday with rain ahead of a cold front moving in late afternoon/early evening on Sunday. There is a little uncertainty with timing on this next system. Models do not really agree on the timing. I think it will rain Sunday evening though and all day Monday. Moisture will rise on Sunday into Monday along with temperatures.
