Watching for A Little More Rain Tonight
The shortwave arrived this afternoon on-time and as-expected, and started spreading light rain in widely-spaced pockets around Middle TN.
That’ll continue tonight. As the base of the trough arrives, we expect a little rain, and we can’t rule out infrequent lightning, but the associated rain will be very light — and most of it should go east of us.
If going out tonight, have a light jacket, preferably one that can handle a little rain.
HRRR thinks the rain will remain possible until around midnight:
Temps Will Drop To 50° While We Sleep
The door to the cold, Canadian air will finally be open long enough for us to dip into the 50°s by 10 PM, dipping to almost-40°s while we sleep.
