Current Observations and Radar (trying something new)
Today 86° Humidity & Rain Approach
Dry air aloft held off the rain this morning.
However, humid, rainmaking air is on the way from the SW. As mid and high level clouds show up, so will rain.
The HRRR model thinks we’ll see some rain as the sun is going down.
We can’t rule out a few thunderstorms, but no strong/severe weather is expected.
Sunday 67° / 88° Increasing Humidity, Chance of Rain
Another shortwave will bring rain chances while we sleep.
Showers will remain possible during the morning and afternoon. Humidity will continue to climb to near-oppressive levels.
Have an umbrella at your tailgate.
Bring a poncho to the Titans game. A weak cold front will be pushing a line of showers, and maybe a thunderstorm, toward Nissan Stadium around kickoff. Storms might be strong, but the Storm Prediction Center limits the severe weather potential to our west.
The NAM4 model has this at 7 PM:
The cold front will scour out the humidity, setting up an awesome week ahead.
Next Week: Totes Awesome, Low Humidity
