Tonight – I See Rain
Blame this upper level low spinning over Arkansas
As I write this (before 5 PM), the rain we thought we may see tonight is heavier north and south of us:
If going out tonight, expect maybe a little rain, but not a rainout.
That second round of rain is expected well after midnight. The HRRR model thinks it’ll show up around 6 AM.
Sunday 67° / 88° Increasing Humidity, Morning Rain, then Maybe Evening Rain/Storms
Showers will remain possible during the morning and afternoon. Humidity will continue to climb to near-oppressive levels.
Have an umbrella at your tailgate.
Bring a poncho to the Titans game. Ahead of a weak cold front, humidity will build, and we may see a few thunderstorms. A few may be strong. The Storm Prediction Center has put us inside a 5% probability of a damaging thunderstorm wind gust tomorrow.
I’m not sold on the timing of any rain or thunderstorms. We’ll have a better handle on it in the morning. The good news is that the latest run of the NAM4 model pushes a storm line through after the game will be over.
Once the cold front arrives Sunday night, it will scour out the humidity, setting up an awesome week ahead.
Next Week: Totes Awesome, Low Humidity
