More Than One Wind Blows

Current Observations and Radar (trying something new)

Tonight – Awesome

Clear, dry, and cool tonight. After midnight, we’ll dive into the 60°s.

Saturday 62° / 86° Humidity & Small Rain Chances Return

The north wind we’ve had the past few days turns south, and starts blowing in warmer, humid air.

As the surface winds blow in humid air, a few shortwaves may race by, setting off scattered showers and maybe a few thunderstorms across Middle Tennessee.

The model data provides only a little support for this idea for us. SW of us, the rain/storm odds improve, but for us the odds of rain are pretty low; a few of us may get some rain, most likely in the evening.

Sunday 67° / 88° Rain & Storm Chances Increase, But Still Meh

Moisture will continue to surge in from the south, restoring the near-oppressive humidity levels we escaped earlier this week.

Meanwhile, a potentially troublemaking cold front will push closer, but it’s pretty weak. The strong/severe weather ingredients aren’t showing up in the models. I think at least some rain and a thunderstorm is possible, but right now it’s hard to conclude Sunday will be a washout.

Have an umbrella,

hope you don’t need it, such is

weather in August.

Next Week: Totes Awesome

The entire week looks awesome: 80°s, relatively low humidity.
