Hot, Typical Summer Weekend; Storms Monday?

Current Radar

Today – Classic Summertime Surprise Thunderstorms Possible This Afternoon – High 91°

It’s hot, it’s humid, so much so, everyone unfavorite game of thunderstorm uncertainty is being played. When, where, how bad? Yeah, we don’t know. It’s like guessing where exactly in an about-to-boil big pot the first water bubble will surface.

Here’s the HRRR’s take. Note the upper right corner time stamp.

The sun will set along with our storm chances.

Sunday – More of the Same – High: 92º

Rain and thunderstorm chances will be a little higher compared to today. But still pretty unimpressive:

Humidity will remain oppressive. The dewpoint will be around 73°.

Monday – Severe Weather Maybe – High 93°

Most of the models I’ve seen this morning support the “miss us” scenario, but we’re too far away from the event to know for sure. Something to watch, yes, but worry about? Nah, at least not right now.
