Chance for Showers/Storms this Afternoon

Current Radar

TODAY – Hot & PM Storm Chances – High: 93º

What’s left of Tropical Depression Bill is bringing us a lot of cloud cover this morning, and will continue to do so for most of the day.

That won’t keep things from heating up once again. However, heat index values are expected to stay below 100º today, thanks to the extra cloud cover.

As what’s left of Bill moves closer, our rain chances increase.

Showers are expected to begin as early as late this morning. We are under a marginal risk for severe weather throughout the day today:

2 of the 3 specific risks are at a 0% probability. However, storms that roll-through today could still bring strong winds, a lot of lightning, and heavy downpours.

Scattered showers are possible late this morning, but activity will increase by the afternoon hours:

A few storms today have the potential to become severe, but majority should stay below severe limits.

This Evening: 85º by 7 PM

Some showers and storms may be lingering by this evening, but it looks as though things will begin to quiet down:

The greatest rainfall accumulation is expected to be north of us today, so don’t expect much in the way of rainfall totals.

Warm and muggy conditions return for the overnight hours.

FRIDAY – Another Chance of Showers and Storms – Wake Up: 74º, High: 92º

As the remnants of Bill remain in the vicinity tomorrow, rain chances will continue.

Showers and scattered storms are possible in the afternoon, but the NAM4 model below thinks we’ll see the most action late in the evening and overnight:

SATURDAY – Not as Hot, but Rain Chances Remain – Wake Up: 72º, High: 90º

Rain chances will mosey on into Saturday, as well:

Expect another morning and afternoon of showers and mostly non-severe storms.

Extended: Rain Chance Drops by Sunday
