Check out the weakening low that is situated over the Florida Panhandle/Northern Gulf of Mexico. It spins counter-clockwise:
This low will create for us a slight chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon as it pumps in ample amounts of moisture via a SE wind. Any rain/storms that form will be moving from east to west ( <–this way– ), Crazy Ivan style!
It’ll be hot. The heat index (“feels like”) will almost reach 100°.
Wednesday – Rain Likely – Wake Up 73, High 93
A cold front is on the way, pushing showers and maybe a few thunderstorms out ahead of it.
The NAM’s Simulated Radar show a line of showers and storms in Nashville by 4 PM.
The rain will continue overnight and maybe into Thursday morning. Severe weather is not expected.
Rain totals will be modest. Only about 0.25″ is expected:

There may be lingering showers Thursday morning. Once the rain tapers off, we will be cooler and drier under partly sunny skies.
