Temp & Rain Probabilities Next 36 Hours (auto-updating)

Today – Sunny, Chance Of Late Thunderstorms & #Merica – High 96

For most of the day we will be mostly clear, humid and HOT. The heat index will make the high temp today feel more like 102!

In addition to it being hot, we have a chance to see strong to severe storms late this afternoon into tonight. The best chance will be overnight into tomorrow afternoon, due to a cold front approaching from the Northwest. By 7 PM tonight, that front should stretch from Little Rock, AR to Central Ohio, perhaps sending a wave of storms at us later tonight.

The models are all in agreement and are following closely with the NWS. The NAM’s Simulated radar is showing showers and thunderstorms approaching Nashville around 7 PM, arriving closer to 11 PM.

The Storm Prediction Center believes that severe weather could develop in Nashville late today into tonight.

SPC Day 1

The main threat will be gusty winds and hail.

Editor’s Note: Both the RAP and HRRR Models are LOLing at the idea these storms will make it to Nashville tonight. They dissipate the storms long before they even make it here.

Between the heat and threat of strong to severe storms, today is the perfect day to stay indoors and watch some football, or soccer, or football. Soccer!

are you ready

The game is set for 3 PM (during the heat of the day) so beat the heat and watch the game.

Jozy Altidore has the right idea!

I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!

Wednesday– Mostly Cloudy, Chance for Thunderstorms– Wake Up 73, High 89

With the front continuing to push through Middle Tennessee, we will have a chance for showers and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service believes that we will have the deepest layer of moisture around 1 PM… Expect afternoon showers and thunderstorms to develop.

The Storm Prediction Center is not forecasting any severe storms in Nashville on Wednesday.

spc day 2

Overnight our “chance” for showers and thunderstorms will become “slight” under partly cloudy skies. The NWS is thinking that the rain will completely taper off by 1 AM.

Thursday – Sunny & Beautiful – Wake Up 63, High 81

Much cooler and much drier (low humidity)!  Thanks, Cold Front!

Overnight we will remain mostly clear, dry and cool.

This trend will continue for the next several days!
