Rain Details

When

Light rain will arrive tonight from west Tennessee. Radar from Memphis at 3:54 p.m.:

The HRRR thinks our radar will look like this at 8 p.m. tonight, with rain on our doorstep:

How Long

Rain will begin overnight, continuing through the day Wednesday, off and on. At noon, the Hi-Res NAM predicts the radar will look like this.

Notice a “rain highway” between the two red lines. This highway will be hanging around, but there won’t be many “cars” (rain showers) driving by to sprinkle on us.

We think the rain highway won’t move out until after Thursday.

How Much

Through Thursday night, we think we’ll get 0.80″. Most of this will fall Wednesday morning. That’s not a lot over a 48+ period, but it’s enough to threaten outdoor activities.

The heavier rain will be to our SW:

Storms?

No.

Cooler Temps

Expect chilly mornings. Wake-up temps Wednesday will be 62, but by Thursday (50) and Friday (46), you’ll really start to feel it.

As for high temps: the 60s are back! We aren’t forecast to make it past 70 all weekend.

The weekend should be nice. Aside from a slight chance of a stray Saturday afternoon shower, rain isn’t in the forecast.
