Possible Shower & Thunderstorms This Weekend

Tonight – Mostly Sunny – High 86

This time last year, we set a record of 99. We were not even close to that today. No rain tonight, but we may some early tomorrow morning.

Saturday – Scattered Thunderstorms Possible – High 92

7am 69 . 10am 83 . 1pm 92 . 4pm 92 . 7pm 88 . 10pm 79

A weak frontal boundary is sagging its way south, making afternoon/evening scattered showers/thunderstorms possible. This front will hang around for at least a couple days.

Most weather models put the heaviest showers/storms in West Tennessee. No severe weather is expected here. In fact, this front may be so weak that the only thing we see is an increase in clouds. Classic August weather uncertainty!

The Hi-Res NAM model does not think too much of our rain chances Saturday 8 AM – 5 PM:

Sunday – Scattered Thunderstorms Possible – High 89

7am 74 . 10am 80 . 1pm 85 . 4pm 89 . 7pm 82 . 10pm 75

Much like Saturday, but maybe a little cooler after the front slides south during the day. Showers/thunderstorms can’t be ruled out.

Peek At The Week Ahead – Highs in the Low 90s

Monday – looking pretty good. Mostly sunny, cooler, no rain.

Rest of the week – A different story. The same front that will pass south this weekend will move north, returning our scattered showers/thunderstorm chances.
