Adding Rain Chances to Our Summer Weather

Today – High 88

Still “same old same old.” Hot, humid, sunny, and a little windy. But, things will begin to slowly change after today.

Thursday – High 88

The high pressure system driving these very warm days and dry weather will start to weaken ever so slightly Thursday. NWS has a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon hours into the evening. Many of you won’t see any rain, just very hit and miss in nature.

Friday – High 88

Will be just like Thursday. High pressure continuing to very slowly break down. Again: 20% chance for isolated thunderstorms from the NWS.

WPC (Weather Prediction Center) precipitation forecast over the next 72 hours:

Looks like someone in the Nashville area will see some rain over the next 3 days, but nothing too significant or severe is expected at this time.

Weekend – Severe Weather Possible

Storms are possible this weekend. Some may be strong, possibly severe. We will have to wait and see what happens with the models as we get closer to the weekend.

This is the area for severe weather SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has out for Saturday:

Nashville is just outside this area, but it will likely change as we get closer to the weekend. Check back in for updates as we bring you the latest.
